We went visiting the children and grandchildren in North Carolina on Friday and got back home late Sunday afternoon.
After getting back and settled in I had a little bit of time to head to the shop and get something done. I decided to just locate and install the GIB music jack in back. I was trying to decide whether to put it in the panel with the non-powered jacks and the bulkhead below the dimmer for the GIB light. I decided on the bulkhead.
I don't like to have things like jack plugs sticking out a lot where someones hand can hit it and break the jack and the plug. My thought though is to have a 90 degree jack plug for the GIB to use that would pretty much resolve that issue.
So I drilled my quarter inch hole in location then proceeded to use flat and a round file to profile the hole to it's oval shape to catch the anti-rotation flats for the jack to fit in place. It was much easier to work in that location than the front music jack location. Anyway after about 35 minutes I was complete.....one more item closer to finishing the project!!
