Brief Description: LEMO / Jacks position and template
With an early morning 6 hour round trip to pick up grandchildren Rudy and Giovanna to watch them for a week while their parents are moving from NY to NC, I ended up with only a short work session today.
I decided to work on getting the LEMO locations locked down. I had Approach FastStack also wire the conventional plug in jacks to the harness...that way either can be used and not just limited to the LEMO powered connector.
The pilot location had to be positioned that is it out of the way of my cubby door and fuse bay. I am probably going to put some type of clips in so the headset wire will be easily kept out of the way in front and back. For now it looks like my locations will offer minimal interferrence and minimal chance of hitting and breaking the headset connector or LEMO socket.
I then took time to make a template for the hole that has to be cut for the connectors which has two flats on the sides to keep the socket from rotating while being tightened. My template came out great and now it will be a matter of drilling and filing the hole to specs.
