I continued on the GPS Mount v2.0 . I measured the angle, sheet metal and hinges for final size and cut them close enough to allow finish machining on them.
I went into the shop and finished everything to size and drilled the holes to attach it to the airplane. I have decided that I will use screws to attach the mounting angle in order to make the mount easily removable for future mx or refurb of avionics. I can always fill the screw holes with rivets if the mount ever comes out in the future.
Making one for my buddy Jim while I am at it....he is not sure if he will use it....but if he doesn't I can always seek to sell it!
