Tonight I continued the ILS/VOR/LOC antenna installation location and doubler. After drilling #40 holes in the doubler, I used it as a template for the holes in the fuselage. Got it all clecoed and then used the #30 drill to open up the holes to final rivet size.
I countersunk the doubler and drilled for the two attachment nutplates for the #10 screws. I then placed it in my homemade hardwood brake and bent the two angles on the side. Bending the angles add a lot more stiffness to the doubler...although using .040 aluminum is pretty stiff as it is.
It's ready to be rivited once I get the fuse deburred and dimpled. My friend Rob said he would be willing to come over and assist me since it will be far easier as a two man job.
