I still had work to do on the right subpanel for the clearance on where the wires will pass through. The clearance is a bit more involved than just drilling a hole. My panel has two panels for the subpanels. The panel framework and the subpanels I made that lay over the framework. I had to make sure the hole I drilled would allow me to slot it so the subpanel cover could be removed.
I also slotted the frame also in order to have the wires such that they could be removed from the framework without having to be pulled back through the hole but could be passed through the large space in the subpanel framework clearance. Sounds a little muttled I know.....but it will work nicely.
After that I inserted the sheilded wire bundle and installed pins for the wires. I made lots of labels and then put the wires together and checked the resistance.....just to make sure the pins were installed correctly.....all checked good!
After putting on all the labels, I slid on the clear shrink wrap over the pin connections on the right side and put the heat gun to them. The shrink wrap worked nicely and I tried to pull the pins apart and they didn't budge....so the shrink wrap holds them together well!
