Tonight was my first stab at using Molex plugs and pins for a connection. I decided to start with the pump motor wires first. The wires for the pump are actually non-aviation wires. The insulation on them is thicker.
After reviewing the Stein video on the pin crimping I went to work. I put pins on the pump wires. After all was done they were good....but I felt they could be better. I clipped them off and attached two new ones....this time they came out great.
Next I put the ends on the power and ground wires that will feed the pump. Using the aviation tezfel wiring was once again different but got two pins on good the first try. Then it was tying the wires and putting a little bit of chaffing protection in a couple spots. Pump is ready....now for the switches.
