Brief Description:  Routing and securing Bus Wiring

I had made provision for an adel clamp on the avionics area to hold the wires from chafing on bulkhead parts and started by installing that loosly to hold the wires in the general position. I picked up a pair of surgical hemostatic clamps somewhere along the years and I have found that these can be very helpful in holding adel clamps closed. Since getting this adel clamp in place became quite an "operation" I grabbed them and with their help I got the adel clamp installed.

After doing that I went back into the electrical bay and did some wire straightening and making sure wires were not pulled too tight of kept too loose. Using tie wraps I tied the wires in place. Don't be alarmed...I know the colorful ties you see in the pictures are real cheapo's...but that's why I am using them to to temporarily keep things in place. They will be replace by "real" nylon ties and lacing at the final stage of wiring. I just didn't want to use good ones that will be cut off.

I then pondered the routing to the CB panel on the left side of the aircraft. I decided it would be best to run the three wires along brace that runs through the avionics compartment. The three wiresI have to run to the CB panel are AWG 8, 10, 12 wires. The eight wire is the biggest and least flexible. I ended up installing two adel clamps and three nylon wire tie blocks to the rail which seems to hold everything in place well.

I printed out my labels for the fuse and CB panel wiring and began working on the fuse panel connections when I decided to call it a night. Time seems to go pretty fast when doing this stuff and is seems that you are not getting as much accomplished as you think....but there is a lot of work to get it done in the details!
