Brief Description:  Wire Routing - Edging and Adel Clamp

After doing some more head scratching while looking at wire routing, I decided that I could route wires between the panel that separates the avionics / baggage areas. There is a nice half inch by three inch gap between that panel and the gear tower that should work nicely.

My concern was the panel edge that may be detrimental to wires if they weren't protected from the possibility of chafing against the edge of the panel. I bought a bunch of rubber edging online a while back for something else. It came in a good size roll. I cut a piece of the edging and glued it to the panel. It is 1/16 inch thick and will provide adequate protection.

Next I wanted to secure the bundle as it passed into the avionics bay area. I decided the best way would be to add an adel clamp at a stregic location on the gear tower area. The good thing about the adel clamp is I can use a larger one if the bundle grows as I am running wires. The positioning will keep it cheated towards the flat side of the gear tower also.
