Brief Description:  Rear Throttle Quadrant #6

Another short work session tonight. I got the tabs for the panel located and opened up the holes to use 1/8 rivets AN426 flush rivets after which I countersunk the holes for the flush heads to fit since the panel must sit flat on the bulkheads.

I completed prepping the nutplate locations on the top armrest panel also. I countersunk the holes for the nutplate rivets even though the thickness of the armrest panel is thinner than the recommended thickness for countersinking. Normally they would be dimpled with a dimple die but that can deform the panel enough to change the hole locations slightly....so when I install nutplates that are not "critical"(external panels subject to wind forces of flight, etc) I will usually countersink the holes as it works better for the purpose.

Next I got the trust old rivet squeezer and riveted the tabs and the three upper nutplates in location. Another short shop session....but got a little further down the project road!

As my friend Porky would say........"A brdee, brdee, brdee....that's all folks!!!
