I didn't get in as much build time as I had hoped but got a little in.
Using a bunch of auto wire that I have had for years I put together wires on the indicator lights I am thinking of using for the switches. These lights I discussed in an earlier post. Anyway I inserted the wires on the terminals and fed the lights into their holes. I wired up the power supply and you can see them in the pic below. The colors don't mean anything....they willl all be green on the panel switches....the red will be for starter engaged and alternator warning lights.
I checked them out with bright worklights shining in the cockpit to simulate the sunny day, and I tried them out with a pitch dark basement to see how they would be at night....both day and night passed the tests so I am going to put them in and keep them.
I had to make some minor adjustments to the print for cutting the real panel and will stop prototype work here and go forward and cut the real panel.
