Brief Description:  Drill CB Panel - Ralph Consult - GIB Light

I was happy with the CB panel and the extra breaker inserted to the bottom row. I decided it was time to drill the "real" panel. I set the panel up in my mill machine and wrote up a quick program for the CB locations. I ran the program through the hole locations 3 times. First the center drill to confirm the locations were correct....second a 3/8 inch endmill....finally a boring head that took the last cut to being the holes to the right size.

Ralph stopped by for a good little visit and we spoke of wiring, mainly focusing on the GIB light and the flood lights in front. Unfortunately the electrical is the place where I have questions that need answers....Ralph is very sharp and a great resource.

I attached the small circuit board to the side panel where the light is mounted. I riveted the board to an aluminum plate and then put some nutplates in the plate to attach it to the panel. That was better than trying to modify the circuit board attachment feet to fit screws....potentially damaging the board.

I played around with where to place my ELT remote...I think a good place would be on the right subpanel.
