So after pondering the fit of the CB panel I decided that now would be the time to make any modifications if need be. I decided to add one more breaker to the bottom row. It will be a spare in case I need it for the future. I now have a total of 19 breaker locations in the panel and it wasn't hard to fit that many. In order to add the last breaker I trimmed the small panel mount bracket just a bit and moved the bottom row breakers closer to each other by 1/16 inch.
I decided to become acquainted with my DMC pin crimpers for doing the D-sub connectors. I cut a wire for the GIB D-sub. After setting up the DMC crimper per the video I watched from the company website....I crimped the first pin on the wire. Looked very nice. I crimped one more pin. I have to paint the panel and attach the circuit board so that was just a trial run for the process.
