Brief Description:  Forward Baggage Cover Panel #12

I am sandwiching three pieces in the panel in order to make space for a fiberglass bin that will fit into the door hole to be used for storage. I made a .062 spacer to go between the top panel and the door stop panel to account for the fiberglass bin.

To hold and secure the inboard side of the door stop panel I riveted a .062 spacer behind the inboard hinge where I had to remove the spacer materiel in order for the hinge to fit and be riveted to the top panel. So I cut a 1/2 inch spacer and after riveting in the hinge slid the spacer behind the hinge and drilled rivet holes and countersunk them to rivet the spacer and hold the back side of the door stop panel that will also support the fglass bin.

I also drilled holes in the lower panels to clear the shop heads of the rivets. I decided this was a better course as opposed to countersinking the backside and backriveting as I felt it doesn't fasten as well and the door hinge may become loose over time.....my take anyway.

I cut the long edge of the door to fit it to the hinge and give me clearance around the door perimeter.
