Brief Description:  Fab Fuse/CB Front panel

I cut the front panel out of .040 sheet that I have in the shop. I marked the sheet using the final pattern that I had made out of poster board. I cut it on the bandsaw leaving a little for fitting purposes. I really like using the posterboard when I can for patterns because it is thin enough to manipulate fairly easy (unlike cardboard) and yet it is thick enough to use to mark the cut without moving and causing a pattern line to drift from where it is supposed to be.

After making the initial cut it was putting the panel on and off to tweak it into the proper fit.

I marked the locations on the front panel for the attachment screws and drilled them with a #40 bit. After clecoing the support angles back on the airplane, I cleco clamped the panel in place and began to transfer the holes into the support angles. I then pulled everything apart and drilled out the holes for the 8-32 screws and used the drill jig to drill and countersink the holes for the nutplates.
