Brief Description:  Canopy Frame Rear Bow

I spent a little time making a small tweak on the canopy frame.

I then spent a good portion of time cleaning off my main work bench with was very cluttered and had to get some metal chips cleaned off.....man stuff stacks up quick.

Next I set up the frame to bend down the rear bow of the frame. This seems to be the case on every RV8 frame. So I used a similar method that I saw on my friend Jims log. It worked well.

I measured how much the bow had to come down while it was still on the airplane. I set the bow up on the bench that I could use the edge of the table to get a measurement and bring the frame down the proper amount and by theory it should be right when I put it on the airplane. I had to take it down in the vicinity of 2 inches. I got the reading and bent the bow down to the point that it should be on the bench. When I placed it back on the plane it was right where it was supposed to be in pic 3....sorry it's a little blurry.
