Brief Description:  Mid Cabin Covers #4

I got up early in the morning to finish the Mid Cabin Cover by countersinking the rivet holes and deburring and priming the parts.

Conventional wisdom is dimple skin less than .040 and countersink skin .040 and thicker. I have been non conventional in this areana when parts are technically "non-structural". Using dimple dies on the thin .025 covers and dimpling all the other parts would surely lend to distortion. So I took a scrap piece of .025 and made a half dozen test holes. I used the countersink and made some adjustments to get the countersink just right. It will hold the 3/32 rivets with plenty of surface and the bevel of the rivet head barely sticks through the bottom of the .025 sheet. That will take care of the distortion that comes with dimpling.

So with that I primed the parts to get them ready for painting. Even though this all occured in one day I am splitting up the log entried because they are different categories.
