Brief Description: F-821 Skin sides drill and cleco
I tackled the match drilling of the sides of F-821 upper skin into the longeron. I had fussed a lot with getting the skin evenly on both sides of the fuselage. I had a line drawn through the factory keeper rivets installed on the side skins. When all was said and drilled the match drilled holes were right in line on both sides of the fuse within 1/32" give or take.
There are a total of four holes that have to be drilled from the inside of the fuselage on four gear tower skins and an additional seven holes along the forward left side of the fuselage that are larger than the other skin holes (AN 426-4) that have to be drilled from the inside to locate the holes in the F-821 skin as well.
The issue is that being a QB kit for some reason the holes were already riveted to the gear tower panels so I had to drill them out to be able to transfer the holes into the F-821 skin. So I removed them and will back drill all the required holes after the rivets are removed.
