I started this session by getting the final rivets set. The rivets are at the end of the elevator tip and they are in a really tight place. I have a pneumatic rivet squeezer that I have a 3' deep throat and a fixed anvil that can be used to squeeze in tight places. It still took some fanageling but I got the rivets set.
I went to start the process only to find out that I had cut my black pipe to use it for some other project. I was going to try to improvise, but at this point of the game I dont want to mess up all the work of rebuilding this elevator a SECOND time....so I decided to wait and buy a new pipe tomorrow!
Today marks the 17th anniversary of our Nations attack on the Trade Center in NY, the Pentegon< and the Pennsylvania flight. Took time to ponder and remember during the day.
