In flying my friend Ricks RV8 I have had the pleasure of using the rudder pedal extensions that Rick made for his rudder pedals. It seems the pivot point on the stock rudder pedals can allow you to give it brake when you don't want to. There has been a lot of debate over the pedal extensions, but all I know is that Ricks pedals are the only experience I have and I found the extensions very helpful! So I am going to design some for my pedals and it seems that I am in the right place of the rudder pedal assembly to make the extensions.
I began measuring and drawing the profile the profile of the extensions. Ricks extensions gave me the overall basic concept for designing my extensions. After measuring for a bit and scratching notes on a pad, I began to transfer the design onto a piece of 1/8 th sheet aluminum that I had bought. So still more cypherin to do.......
