Today I decided I really had to get the parts primed in order to get this HS assembled. My wife and I are taking some vacation so I wanted to really get the parts primed. Also the weather broke and the humidity was pretty low. So I build a temp priming station in the backyard with scrap wood. Next I etched the parts and dried them really good and let them sit for a good part of the day.
In the evening with calm winds I went and began priming. It's the first time I have used my paint gun. So I used some water to kind of adjust it. Then mixed the primer and it was going from dressed rehersel to the live act! All in all it came out well and other than a few drips here and there I am well pleased with the result. Will have to keep working on the process. I do NOT plan on painting my aircraft myself. But priming isn't that difficult!
