Brief Description: Elevator fitting to Horizontal Stabilizer
In taking the elevators on and off so many times for fitting it helps to make some little 3/16 hinge tools to use rather than using the bolts. I made 4 of them out of 3/16 rod with a little twist which really helped to have extra room to get the tool in the hole around the elevator skin....it worked really good. My build buddy Jim mentioned using rod instead of trying to keep taking the bolts in and out during fitting....so I bought some rod today and made the tools....didn't get t chance to ask Jim how he bent the rods but I just figgured doing it as I go. At first I just put one 90 degree bend but it was hitting the elevator skin in the limited space. So I put the second bend in the handle and it worked BEAUTIFULLY! Lots of time on this post because the past post included stuff done in this work session.
Well time for bed....0330 comes early....can't stay up to watch all the Bruins game....have to find out in the morning!
