Began working on left elevator. This one seems to have quite a bit more work involved with the trim tab and extra spars bends and so on. I am a little apprehensive due to the fact that if I mess up the bends on the elevator I risk having to redo them....and that is not a prospect I enjoy thinking about. The left elevator has quite a bit of work....so I will take my time and creep my way to completing the left elevator.
The wonderful part is my partner and lovely wife is always available to lend a hand when I need her for a particular operation! She is a tremendous help in my build process both mechanically and in keeping me straight when I have not had a great day in the shop.
Anyway, began working left elevator by drilling E 610 & 611 to the E702 spar. Drilled E703 & 704, clecoed and E713 to E703 & 704 and clecoed to spar assembly. Installed E714 lead weight and drilled. Match drilled all holes of counterweight assy to spar. Clecoed and match drilled E606PP to E705 & 702. Drilled E701 skin to skeleton. Disassembled all skins and parts for left elevator and deburred. Countersink E714 and dimpled all parts and skins.
