Continued VS. Riveted vs skeleton together. Assembled vs 704 / 705 / 706 / 707 to front spar vs702. Inserted completed skeleton frame into vs skin and clecoed. Riveted skin to skeleton. Inserted rear spar assembly to vs skin and clecoed. Riveted rear spar to vs skin. Inserted blind rivets LP4-3 rivets to the rear spar and vs707.
During the process of my early days using the pneumatic squeezer to dimple the skins I had 3 misfires that were fixed nicely by installing -4 "oops rivets". The larger rivets worked fantastic! My opinion is that the vs is the simplest and most idiot proof sub-assembly to complete. It now hangs with the HS as a tribute to another stage of RV accomplishment!!!
Now back to the rudder......AGAIN!!! Will see if we can do it right this time!!!
