Brief Description:  Firewall pass thru

I tightened up nut on Bowden cable for the alternate air door—the nut inside the gear tower—fun, fun. I ran wires from the Dynon GPS from the firewall area back to the Dsub plug that attaches to Skyview screen. I did not want to splice into the existing wires, so I removed the 4 wires which were already in the connection, crimped on new barrels on the wires just run and inserted them into the plug. I believe this completes all of my wiring that passes thru the firewall, so I finished up the SafeAir firewall passthru by adding the firesleeve wrap and inserting into passthru. Sounds pretty simple, but I had to undo most of my firewall wiring in order to get enough slack in the wires so that they could be wrapped. Anyhow, got it done and re-attached all of the adel clamps etc holding the wiring. I used some silicone tape to seal off the wrapped wires. If I were doing this over again, I would use 2 firewall passthrus instead of just the one. It is packed pretty tightly—no more wires will fit—good thing I’m done with that! Still need to add more tie wraps in several places to tidy up the wiring.
