Early this morning, I cleaned, scuffed etc and shot a coat of primer on the VA-168 transducer manifold. Tonight, I spread some Permatex thread sealer on the fittings for the oil line and fuel line, then screwed them into the manifold. I mounted the manifold to the firewall and bolted thru the backing angle. Sent an email to Van’s earlier today regarding the loose fit of the WD7 clamp and the VA-133 oil pressure line. The tech guys said that was correct—should allow the line to float in the clamps due to engine movement during start up and shut down. Who knew—glad I checked. I added the VA-133 oil pressure line to the manifold and installed the WD7 clamps. Also added the VA-102 fuel pressure line to the manifold.
