Brief Description:  Mount Heat Selector Valve, fab mount for VA-168

Finished the FWF inventory—all parts & pieces accounted for. I started with installing the TG-10 heat selector valve. On the QB, the 2” hole is already cut in the firewall as well as the 2 holes for the mounting bolts. I purchased a stainless steel TG-10 valve from ACS to substitute for the aluminum supplied in the kit (which I deleted from the order). I ran a bead of Biotherm 100 sealant around the outside of the 2” opening, then attached the valve to the firewall with the supplied hardware. Next, I started on the VA-168 sender mount (manifold). Per the plans, I shaped the aluminum angle that serves as the backing plate for the VA-168 manifold. I match drilled the holes in the backing plate using the manifold as a guide. Tomorrow, I’ll drill the holes in the firewall, prime the angle and install the assembly.
