Previously, I had hung the motor mount using some 3/16” bolts (same ones I had used for the rotisserie). In looking at the mount, it didn’t fit real well. I drilled out the lower right hole and the upper left hole to ¼”. I cut some 3/8” o.d. fuel line to use as bushings and inserted them into the mounting holes on the motor mount. I was able to “muscle” the mount into position for the 2 holes just drilled. I marked thru the mount where the other two holes would hit the firewall—these were off by about half of the f/w hole. I used a high speed cutting bit in the dremel to move theses 2 holes in the f/w for a more centered fit, then drilled these holes to ¼”. The bottom holes fit pretty well, the top 2 require the mount to be pulled or pushed in order to get the bolts in—I may try to move the center of these before drilling the next size up. I plan to drill to 5/16” and then use a letter S or T, then use a 3/8” reamer for the final hole. I’ll have to pick up one of the lettered bits next week.
