Had a long session today. Put the fuse back on the rotesseri, then removed right gear leg. Rolled the fuse on its side and drilled the left inboard wear plate thru the gear weldment. Repeat the process fo r the opposite side. Now with the gear back on and all holes drilled, I trimmed the gear leg covers. Then, I worked on brake lines. Ended up with a pile of worthless lines—finally got one on each side that I think I can live with. I ordered some 90 degree steel fittings to install in the upper end of the Grove gear legs—installing aluminum fittings into aluminum gear could cause problems. Removed the gear brackets, deburred all holes and shot primer on the brackets.
