Today I used resin (with no filler) and applied to the right skirt. I worked fast enough that I was able to go over the skirt a second time before the resin began to “cook”. While resin was curing, I sanded the left skirt along the rivet line and then shot a coat of sanding primer. This evening after the resin was dry on the right side, I sanded with 120 grit followed by 150 grit. Wiped the skirt down with MEK and shot a coat of sanding primer. While the primer was drying, I filed more on the bushing spacer for the latch handle. It is very close to correct length—will have to start figuring out how to clamp the handle and shaft to drill for a set screw. After drilling I'll shape the handle.
