Brief Description:  Outside skirt finishing-1, canopy latch-3

I sanded the left skirt, then shot with a coat of sanding primer. Did some yard work while the primer dried. Later, I lightly sanded the primer—several areas need additional work. Some of the pop rivet areas were still evident, so I sanded them again. Also sanded the right skirt—again. Mixed up some SuperFil which I applied to the rivets on the right side—I think it may cover the rivet areas better than the micro which I used on the left side. I went back and sanded the rivet areas on the left skirt--mixed up more SuperFil and applied to rivet areas on the left side. With the excess SuperFil, I used a credit card and spread on the left and right sides near the aft end. Next, I moved back to the canopy handle. Then bushing spacer for the outside handle is still a bit long. I tried reducing the spacer on the band sander, but had trouble keeping the face of the bushing square so I used a ½” wood bit to bore a hole approx. 1.9” deep in a block of wood. I inserted the bushing, leaving only .1” sticking out—this way I could file the bushing and keep it square. Filing the steel bushing is rather slow going, but I’m getting closer.
