I cut the center of the aft skirts for the pull ring mount with my dremel, then filed the sides to fit the pull ring. I made a spacer from a scrap of my first backing plate—already had a curve in it. I match drilled thru the pull ring, spacer and into the backing plate. Clecoed the backing plate back to the skirts and drilled out the mounting holes to #30 and the machine counter sunk the glass. Removed the backing plate. C/S the pull ring. Cleaned up the parts and shot with primer. I bonded the two halves of the pull ring together with T-88 structural adhesive. This evening, using the pneumatic squeezer, I riveted the pull ring to the backing plate.
