I applied another coat of resin/flox/micro to the two problem areas I had from the last session. I went heavier on the flox to make the mixture pretty thick since I only had a small area to fill. Spread the mix onto the skirts and clecoed them to the frame. After dry, I removed the skirts and sanded down the edge. Added the skirts back to the frame. Yea--gaps are gone! I sanded the left skirt to remove the wave where the skirt was pouched out—can’t feel any distortion now. Sanding these skirts is about like sanding concrete, and I’m using a very heavy grit. I’d like to take a bit off the entire lower edge of each skirt—I’m considering using my hand held belt sander. Not yet sure if it’s a good idea or not—will ponder it a bit more. I’m quite certain that sanding by hand will take up most of the rest of 2013!
