Brief Description:  Canopy skirts-16

Taped the right skirt even with the Sika glue line on the inside and trimmed it off—same procedure as on the left side. Located and drilled 3 holes thru the skirt that matched the 3 holes in the canopy/frame—these were the holes I used to align the canopy each time I installed/removed the canopy from the frame. I also trimmed up the skirt in the back for a smoother fit. I have a gap along the left skirt where it curves toward the rear approx. 10” long—max gap of 1/8”. Same on the right side except the gap is 3/16” and runs approx. 15”. I don’t believe there is much else I can do with the skirts except for fiberglass work. My original plan was to do all fiberglass toward the end of the build, therefore, I may put the skirts on hold while I get back to working on fuselage items. I need to get the gear drilled to the fuse before anything else goes into the gear towers. Think I’ll take a few days and make up a plan of where to go from here.
