Brief Description:  Canopy glue-2

Woo-hoo, nothing went BOING when the clamps came off! Removed all the clamps and 6 clecoes early this AM before work. This evening I decided that for the bottom of the canopy/frame, I would make only one gluing, so I pulled off the first layer of tape. Without the clamps it was very easy to do the bottom, besides it will never be seen anyway. Did the cleaner and primer thing, waited the 30 minutes and started with the Sika. Since I had good access, things went very smoothly. Spread glue down one side, smoothed with wet finger and pulled the tape. Repeat for the other side, and then for the front of the canopy bow. Used lots more rubber gloves tonight and had much less goop to clean up at the end. Although other builders do the entire canopy in one or two steps, for me it seemed to be less stressful due to not being in a time crunch. Next up a cosmetic coat on the insides of the canopy.
