I ran a strip of painters tape inside the canopy followed by a strip of black electrical tape—left a ¼” strip of un-taped plexi on the inside. Began sanding the edge of the left half from front to rear. Started with course sandpaper to smooth out the high spots and the uneven cut lines. After the edge was fairly flat and smooth, I switched to 180 grit and finally to 400 grit. The edge is smooth as glass—no visible marks and cannot feel any rough spots. Think I can call the left side done. Was hoping to finish sanding the entire canopy tonight, but seems to be going slower than I expected.
