I’ve been out on a trip, so missed a few evenings in the shop. The Dynon servos I had ordered should be in by this weekend. While waiting on UPS to show up, I started on another small project. My transponder antenna and connection sits in the lower fuselage just beneath the rear baggage floor. I intend to pop rivet all the floors in, so if I ever need to access the antenna or connection, it would require drilling out the floor rivets—not what I’d prefer. So, I decided to add a small inspection plate in the baggage floor. I laid out the pattern on poster board to make sure it would serve my needs. Then I transferred the pattern to a piece of .040 sheet. Cut out the doubler, laid out the rivet holes and match drilled to the baggage floor. I cut out the center and smoothed the edges. Tomorrow I need to drill for nutplates,etc.
