Brief Description: F840 control rod-final install/rear map light
I installed a small LED map light on the right side—this should provide enough illumination for the GIB for whatever she want to see in the back. Also, bought a dimmer to control the light-haven’t decided on a mounting location yet. I ordered a couple of Dynon servos, so I wanted to finalize the control rod hook up before installing the pitch servo. I installed the F840 pushrod—had forgotten how much fun installing the little washers were. The end of the rod that connects to the F635 bellcrank was a real challenge—conduit on each side of the center ribs made things a bit difficult to reach. If I were building again, I would install the F840 pushrod, bellcrank and servo prior to installing the rear deck. After installing the pushrod, I torqued the bolts and applied orange torque seal.
