I am done with the rear control cover. However, the control mount itself also has 7 large holes which could allow FOD to drop below the floors and possibly jam the controls. Some of the logs show the cover extending down the front side of the hanger to cover these holes. I took a different approach. After making a poster board template, I cut a strip of .025 stock which I will rivet to the back side of the control mount. I also left a tab on each end that I bent in the brake. This tab fits the contour of the control mount to close off the ends. Laid out and drilled holes in the mount to #41, then match drilled the mount to the back strip. Need to shoot some primer on the strip and then I may paint the face some color other than primer gray.
