Brief Description: Flap motor re-wire, ELT antenna wire
Removed the wire to the flap motor-didn’t like the routing. Drilled a hole in the 813 seat rib support and installed a small rubber grommet. Ran the wire along the same path as the transponder wiring—adding a few zip ties along the way. Prepped for install of ADAHRS wiring—waiting on some snakeskin to finish that run. Found using wire ties from bread bags easiest for trial routing of wires—have already cut a number of zip ties after re-thinking some of the routing. Made up a small tab from .063 which I riveted to the 809 bulkhead to secure the coax which runs to the ELT antenna. Have seen some posts on VAF advising against running the ELT coax thru bulkheads—could get chopped in event of a crushed tail section accident.
