Crimped the dsub pins onto the wires for the transponder. Added shrink tubing to each pin and plugged them into a dsub housing. Used some large shrink tubing over the bundle of wires. I had some “snakeskin” that I wanted to slip over the wires. Found the easiest way to string a bunch of wires thru snakeskin is to run the snakeskin over some ¼” tubing, tie onto the wires and pull them back thru. Secured the end of the snakeskin to the shrink tubing with some self fusing tape. Next I added a BNC connector to some RG400 coax and added shrink tubing. Mounted the transponder antenna and connected a 90 degree BNC connector, then connected the coax cable. Ran the coax thru a snap bushing and secured with an adel clamp. Need to finish the coax run to the transponder mount and add a TNC connector to the other end.
