Didn’t seem like I got a lot done for the time spent in the shop. I did get the conduit that runs from the tail pulled thru the main spar web. What a struggle that was! Pulling on one end and pushing on the other—finally got it thru the web. Here is a tip to get Van’s corrugated conduit started in areas where you have limited access to both sides of the spar web (wing walk ribs also). I split the conduit length-wise for about 6 inches. Then I wrapped the conduit around itself so that one side was tucked under the opposite side. This makes a much smaller diameter which can be easily slid thru the web. After the conduit is pulled thru, just cut off the end where the split was made. Should have taken a pic of the split, but was so happy to have the conduit installed that I forgot. Still need to feed the conduit into the gear tower to exit behind the instrument panel, but will wait until I get the fuel lines done. Marked a proposed location for the transponder antenna, but need to consult VAF forum for pros and cons of the location.
