Brief Description: Instrument Panel-Fresh Air Vent
Add some RTV to the bulkheads where the wiring conduit passes thru on the journey to the tail. Next, I moved to the instrument panel. I marked a spot on the left panel frame for the fresh air vent. Cut a hole in the panel using a fly cutter—rather a dangerous looking contraption. Slowed the drill press down to 380 rpm and clamped everything till it was very secure. Used a slow steady feed on the cutter and it worked without any problems. Slicked up the hole with a 1” scotchbrite wheel. Installed the panel back in the fuse and added the vent. Stein’s vents are a bit pricey, but man are they nice!—1 hr.
