Brief Description: Bulkheads primed, rollbar work
|
|
Cleaned bulkheads, gussets, canopy receptacle, harness fairleads and shoulder anchors with MEK, then washed with soap and a scotchbrite pad. After another cleaning with MEK, shot a coat of primer on all parts. While the primer was drying, I rigged up a ratcheting tie down strap between a tree and my truck bumper with the windscreen/rollbar in between. When fitting the rollbar, it was ¼” too narrow, so after much (and I do mean much) stretching, got it spread just a little—just a little too much! Now it is 1/8” too wide. I can squeeze it into the fuse without any issue, but may consult Van’s too see if I need to open it just a bit.
