Today, I had planned to tackle the windscreen width problem. I picked up a ratcheting tie down strap rated at 3500 lb test. However, the wind was howling so badly, I didn’t want to chance opening the garage door—would either fill the shop with leaves or suck something out the door. Instead, I started with the F825 aft top skin. After a bit of wrangling, finally got it clecoed over the bulkheads and along the sides. I skipped the first step in the section—the one that says to make some backboards for work inside the tail cone. Well, I saw no reason for this since I was not nearly ready for riveting. HOWEVER, in order to fit the F858 shoulder anchors, it will require being inside the fuse. So, got a piece of plywood and began marking for cutting per the plans.—1 hr
