Brief Description: Flap motor safety, static port install
Safety wired the rod end bearing and the flap motor shaft. I used .041 safety wire to secure assembly—pretty sure the end cannot unscrew itself from the shaft. Next I moved back to the static ports. I installed the ports and drew a circle around the flange of the port. Then removed and scuffed the fuse inside the circle, as well as the mounting flange of the port itself. Ran a bead of blue RTV around the port flanges and stuck them in the fuse. I reversed one end of a clamp to turn it into a spreader bar and set it inside the fuse with a light pressure against the ports. Picked up a cutting shear from Sears in order to cut the static line tubing-this tool was recommended by SafeAir in order to make a smooth 90 degree cut on the tube.
