Went back to the control binding in the roll axis. FINALLY—got all of the binding out—spent a ton of time figuring out what was needed. Brent Owens log has an excellent procedure for fixing this problem. After removing and re-installing the rear control mount about a dozen times with various washers, bearing height adjustments etc, etc, I finally found the right combination. 1. Added a .063 spacer at the front control bearing hanger. 2. Spread the tabs on the rear control assembly where the rod end bearing is inserted. 3. Added a 960-10L washer at the front of the rear bearing. 4. Slightly enlarged the mounting holes in the rear control mount. Now it works smooth as silk! Next issue-F840 control rod contacts bulkhead in full left deflection of the stick. Probably will need to open the hole in the bulkhead up just a bit.
