The parts gods have smiled. I found a roll pin of correct length and diameter at a bolt supply house. I drilled out the center of the bent pin and was able to free it using vice grips. Drilled the hole to #41 and inserted a new pin—whoo hoo! Pressed the pin in using a vice (just like last time), however worked much better this time. Not sure how other builders are getting a pin thru that 3/32” hole, but a #41 hole works for me. Assembled the lock pin latching mechanism—seems to work ok. Inserted the cable thru the handle-another fun piece of this puzzle, then tied a knot in the cable. Done with the flight adjustable rudder pedals. Located the F805E rudder cable supports, smoothed them up, c/s for NAS rivets and shot with primer. While primer was drying, I began stringing the rudder cables. Started at the aft end, installing snap bushings as I went.
