Brief Description:  Flight Adjustable Rudder Pedals-4

Used a tubing cutter to cut a piece of tubing for the cable fairlead, then cut it lengthwise with a hacksaw. Pressing it into the rudder socket was a real bear. I forgot to primer it, but doesn’t matter--pressing it in peeled a thin layer of aluminum from the tube anyhow. Next I moved to the lock pin. Cut the head off of the clevis pin, enlarged the hole to 3/32” per the plans. Next item was to press the roll pin into the hole in the clevis. And then- things went south! Using a vise, I got the roll pin partially thru the clevis—then the roll pin buckled. Crud-I so wanted to finish the rudder pedals tonight. I suppose it’s time to place an order with Van’s.
