Brief Description:  Flight Adjustable Rudder Pedals-1

Plan for the day was to install elevators and get the elevator horns drilled. Didn’t happen-when I originally positioned the fuse in my shop, I left only a few inches between the left end of the HS and the wall. Then I got it perfectly level in pitch and roll. Retrieved the left elevator from the spare bedroom and discovered I couldn’t mount it because of the limited clearance on the left side—rats! So, I changed plans and moved to the flight adjustable rudder pedals installation. Drilled the 1/8” holes in the WD817 and WD818 to #13, then reamed to #12. Before installing in fuse, thought how much easier it would be if I removed the forward baggage shelf and side panel. 33 screws and 45 minutes later, the parts were removed. Bolted in the Rudder slide bar and socket. Match drilled #30 one side of the socket into the slide bar and stuck a rivet in to keep the alignment. Match drilled the other side to #13 and reamed to #12. Stuck an AN3 bolt in the hole, then drilled and reamed the first side. Removed from the fuse, added the F8107 collar to the slide bar. Drilled a #30 hole thru the center of the collar into the slide bar. Dipped a LP4-3 pop rivet in primer and installed in the collar/slide bar.
