Countersunk for the 2 keeper rivets in the F812 bulkhead and drove 3 rivets. Only kept two of them, one was a just a bit proud and the bulkhead needs to be flat—so it got drilled out. Next I trimmed the front spar on the VS. Plans show to trim off 9/16”, but saw on several web sites that there could be an edge distance issue. Other builders were recommending removal of 3/8”. After the VS is mounted and the front spar is drilled, additional material can be removed if necessary. Leveled the fuse again after banging around on rear bulkhead driving rivets. Got the HS down off the wall and put it in the cradle on the bench. Ran short of time tonight—and I don’t want to rush mounting the HS. This is a critical step in the build and I sure want to get it right.
